Ok, my ideal house must be near the sea and there will be a small garden at the back of the house, which enables me to grow my favorite plants there. You know, I really loved the feeling of watching the plants grow. When all the flowers are in full bloom, the garden must be totally gorgeous.

My ideal house will be a 3-storey-high building and the whole place must felt light and airy. The ground floor will be a garage where the car can be locked for the night. The first floor should contain a living room, a bathroom, a kitchen and a dining [‘dainiŋ] area. The best part of this floor, ah, I think will be the living, because I will decorate it with the souvenirs of my favorite films. With regard to second floor, it will contain five bedrooms. So I can invite my parents to live with me, you know, I believe in strengthening family ties.

I’d like to talk about one of my favorite gardens in my hometown, it is called Hoi Bangarden and it is one of the biggest gardens in Zhuhai City. It is located at the center of the city so it kind of serves as a symbol of Zhuhai.

The garden doesn’t charge people entrance [‘entrəns] fees, so everyone can go there as many times as they want. Inside, you can immediately see two huge lion statues [‘stætju:] at both side of the entrance. As you go further, you’ll come across a fountain [‘fauntin] and in it you can see lots of coins, because tourists see it as a wishing fountain. Not far from the fountain there’s a lake and a small island [‘ailənd] at the center. People often feed the fish there but they won’t have to pay a fine for that。

I often go there on weekends with my family. My parents believe in strengthening family ties so no matter how busy they are, they would make sure to find some time to accompany me. We often chose that garden mainly because it’s a perfect spot to have a picnic or fishing.

Whenever we’re there, my dad and I would go fishing while my mom would prepare our foods or just read books. Sometimes she would try her hand on fishing but with no luck.
