AUTHENTIC SPEAKING Describe your favorite foreign film.
Describe your favorite foreign film.
A foreign film I’d like to talk about is Inception[ n’sep ən], an action-science fiction.
The film was released last year and I saw[s :] it in the cinema when it came out.
The plot is kind of complicated and I still couldn’t fully understand the film. But basically, it tells a story about a man who hopes to get back to his children after having been accused[ə’kju:z] of murdering his wife. The hero, together with his team, needs to complete a mission of incepting an idea to the subconsciousness[‘k n əsn s] of his target’s, who is a son of a billionaire’s[biljə’n ə], that he should break[breik] down the empire that his father has built after his death. The mission is given by a Japanese who is the opponent[ə’pəunənt] of the billionaire. After going through all the twists and turns, the hero and his team makes it in the end.
I like this film a lot because this film is different from all the movies I’ve seen before. The story is kind of thought-provoking. For example, dreams can be designed and people can be led[led] into a dream. Actually, the moment I got out of the cinema, I was wondering if I were in a dream or not.
How amazing it was, isn’t it?

Oh, one more thing that I shouldn’t forget to mention is that his balanced diet has helped a lot for living such a long and healthy life. For example, he hardly eats oily food. His meals include many vegetables and much fruit, such as: cabbage[‘kæbid ], tomatoes, carrots[‘kærət], cucumbers[‘kju:k mbə] and stuff.
I’d like to meet him with my grandfather because I wish he could talk my grandpa into stopped smoking, which is a really bad habbit.

A satisfying job
A job which could make this world better
A job which could make this world better I think is a psychologist whose job is to help people deal with their problems as well as find ways to live a happy, meaningful life. They work at many different places, such as hospitals, businesses, government agencies and stuff.
It’s not easy to be a psychologist since being a psychologist requires much schooling(5-7 years of post graduate work after completing college), an advanced degree (a doctoral degree) and some work experience.
More and more people nowadays are faced with issues, like depression, abuse, stress, eating disorders, so the demand of great psychologists is rising.
they help people maintain a healthy lifestyle through counseling[‘kaunsəl]. (version 1) they advise people on how to deal with problems of everyday living
If there were no psychologists, it would be harder for us:
to recover from personal crisis[‘kraisis], such as divorce, the death of a loved one. (version 1)
Release the negative emotion barrier in our hearts. (version 2)
This is a satisfying job because psychologists are generally highly paid. Some of them are even self-employed and have their own spacious offices in addition to setting their own hours. Isn’t it amazing?
